We have had quite the snowy winter in Tokyo this year, and on leap day last week it snowed all night and most of the day leaving us with a good 10-15 cm here. Riku kept pointing out the window and saying "ooh", so once the snow had slowed down a bit I took him out in his stroller with the rain cover over it (something he wasn't so happy about at first- Riku does not like to be caged).
I found that it is quite tricky to push a stroller through 10cm of snow, but luckily there were enough areas where it had been cleared to make it not too hard once we reached the end of our street. We went to the small park about 5 minutes from here and I let Riku have a sit in the snow- he seemed a bit unsure as to what to do and mostly just looked around, but he had a bit of a poke at the snow at one point.
It's interesting to have the occasional snowfall, but I'm glad we don't live somewhere which is snowbound the whole winter!
